So hey, have some virtual paper with scribbles on it! :-,
Oh, warning for those who don’t like to see pictures of the characters in a book before they read it so they have time to formulate their own mental images. I did Six of Crows fanart. ^<^"

So apparently you have to add .jpg on the end of each so they’ll work, but if I do that, the images themselves end up embedded in the post and I didn’t want that. Bluh. >_>

So! I have a post prompt that I thought of finally!

Prompt 2/18/17: When was the last time you wrote? Creatively, I mean, not for school or a rant (because goodness knows at least I write out my existential crises and analytical angst way more than I should).

I actually got writing last week, on a project that had been sitting untouched for… at least a year now, only because I happened to open Google Docs to work on an essay and there it was, still waiting for me. I was eager enough to procrastinate and inspired enough by the reading I’d been doing to motivate me to first write a pre-bio (it’s complicated) for one of the characters, and then to add a little bit onto the project. By now, I’ve gotten a whopping page and a half done. :p (Really I just want this fight scene to be done so I can get the plot moving again. x_x) But at least I’m writing again! Ooh, and drawing! I’ll post some of my art in a minute in case you all want to see. :3

i write creatively pretty much every night before i go to sleep, either fanfic (i’m EMBARRASSING) or about my own original characters who i’ve been writing about for like three years now just placing them in different universes and seeing how they cope
these writings live primarily on the Notes app in my phone in a folder in locked notes because god forbid anyone i know in real life finds and read them and it’s kind of gotten to the point where i can’t get to sleep if i don’t write a good amount and if (as is happening a bit these days) my phone is charging outside my bedroom for whatever reason, i lie in bed thinking about it until i fall asleep
this system or whatever it is is pretty good, i’ve written quite a few 10 to 15 thousand word things which is satisfying. what ISN’T fun is accidentally deleting them then permanently deleting them from recently deleted instead of restoring them. which happened to one of my favourites ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

      • Lily 7:22 am on February 20, 2017 Permalink | Reply

What fanfics do you write? Do you ever publish them?
        Anyway, that sounds cool.
And aww that’s so annoying!! Did you re write it?

band rpf and yeah they’re on archiveofourown but i won’t link them because people i know know i use this site and i don’t want them to read them lol sorry
i didn’t because it’s not actually of any importance/for anything significant – i write purely for pleasure, so i thought it best just to move on with it and write something new. i honestly don’t mind that much anymore not like anyone was gonna read them but me haha

Well I honestly don’t remember the last time i wrote creatively :-/
BUT i did recently write a poem for school and i was so nervous because we had to read it out but i did it and it was fine! So i’m really relieved.

Post Prompt 1/29/17: What’s the scariest thing that’s happened to you, that you can remember?

oh wait that means i have to answer it shoot

Wellllll, last summer I was on a plane to my university for a 2-day registration/introduction program, annnd the plane lost pressure. I was 55% certain that I was going to die.

By the way, those masks are horrid. Not being able to breathe is worse, of course, but it just felt so *wrong…* Every time you breathe in, there’s this awful sound and it takes forever to fill up your lungs, and you realize just how close you are to not being able to breathe at all… The pilot was trying to keep the air pressure to a maximum, too, so it looked like we were barely missing all these mountaintops…

I’m afraid of flying on planes now. ._. I still do it, but the first time I flew back home for Christmas I started sobbing. The way back here was less bad, but I still felt like I was going to have a heart attack. :T

    • paperclip123 6:25 am on January 31, 2017 Permalink | Reply

Oh my god that’s actually terrifying.
I don’t actually think I’ve ever been in a situation where my life has been in actual danger. The scariest thing I can think of is when a giant spider was in our suitcase and it was on our clothes and the lights were flickering and I screamed. I do have a phobia of spiders which is quite severe (I burst into tears when one showed up in a video we were watching in geography it was slightly embarrassing) so that might have exaggerated the fear I felt.
When my mum injured her back, I was ten, and I was really scared then, just because I felt like my life had been flipped over because my mum was such an active person (still is now!) and she was on bedrest for ages and for a small child that’s pretty terrifying.
Nothing as scary as your story though!

      • Agent Snowbell 9:42 pm on February 18, 2017 Permalink | Reply

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. There was this girl in my music ensemble one year who had serious arachnophobia and this one day there was a spider and this other guy (who was either clueless or a jerk, probably bit of both) *said* that he’d put it on her back and she *freaked* and was both terrified and embarrassed (this was in front of twenty people, mind you) and yeah that was not great. ‘- ‘ I don’t know if he actually had; probably not. He was still a jerk though.

    • Lily 12:39 pm on February 1, 2017 Permalink | Reply

That’s so scary omg. i love planes and the worst that’s happened to me is just a bit of turbulence.
I don’t think I can think of a particularly scary moment?? I still get scared of talking/presenting things in class which i really need to get over.
ALTHOUGH I am really mindless when crossing roads and I’ve nearly been run over a few times

    • deartomysoul 8:30 pm on March 16, 2017 Permalink | Reply

This is actually a very deep question because now that I think about it, I don’t know when I’ve been extremely scared (for my life).

Post Prompt 1/18/17 (I want to keep this thing rolling): What did you do last weekend? :-,

I (as many of us) had MLK day off. Friday I went ice skating, as is my custom, and started Six of Crows; Saturday I went shopping, got groceries and used my Hot Topic coupon, went home and Skyped into D&D with my California group (also per custom), and read more Six of Crows; Sunday I finished Six of Crows and spent most of the remaining day looking up fanart and peppering Mav (the one who got me the book) with analytical texts about it; Mondayย I actually did some work and stuff.

…Six of Crows was good. Anyone else read it?

    • Agent SD 3:09 pm on January 19, 2017 Permalink | Reply

I binge watched all of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix. Amazing show. Then I went to Santa Monica on Sunday for the first YALLWEST meeting; walked around downtown/the beach afterward. I spent Monday ordering all of my books and signing up for volunteer events on campus. It was actually a really nice weekend, overall.

I haven’t read Six of Crows yet, but I’ve heard great things!

    Hi guys!

no im not procrastinating on calculus at 10:45 at night shh

So I have an ask blog now, and you all should ask stuff so my characters have things to respond to! :3 Drawing is like the only pastime I have time for these days since I can do it whenever I’m sitting and not actively doing homework and taking notes (i.e. during class, club meetings, on the bus, etc.). And I really enjoy answering all sorts of questions, so I hope you guys come up with some cool ideas! ^^

    Link: >>> askthelopcrew.tumblr.com

As for other stuff, semi-dead today. Apparently I have allergies here really badly when I barely had them in Cali. -.- And I finally got home around 10 from my last club (worth it though; it’s D&D ^-^) and still have a homework assignment to do. And I’m supposed to take a shower tonight. ._. See this is why I have failed at my goal of becoming a morning person in college. That and the fact that my significant other is too adorable and interesting and *far* too awake until 4 in the morning every night and it’s like the only time I have to Skype him. >-> At least I never have to wake up as early as I did in high school. In retrospect, I can’t believe I survived being an upperclassman (upperclasswoman? Whatevs).

Heyyy, random thought: any Undertale fans here by any chance?

    *awkward little wave* Hey guys!

So admittedly, I totally forgot about this place for a few months. ^^” Forgot about most websites I frequent, actually. Life is pretty crazy at the moment. I’m jumping through hoops for a kind of sadistic English teacher with a control complex, for one thing. But on a much better note, my school music ensemble is getting like a gig a week (at some really important places!), and practice is pretty demanding; also, I’m writing a lot for my Creative Writing class – I’d never taken a writing class before, and it’s phenomenal ^-^ – and building robots and spending time with sis and all my friends, particularly my best friend Kattly and my other best friend/adoptive cousin/moirail/possibly unoffic… you know what? I have honestly no idea how to define that anymore. Let’s just call him my vampire. My vampire, Mavro. X3 Oh, and drawing. Drawing a ton. I’m getting much better, too. I’m almost good enough to consider myself an artist! c:

So, what I came on here to notify you guys about: I’m getting published! ^<^ Well, in a small way. My Creative Writing II class (I never took Creative Writing I, but I got in because reasons) is compiling a book of stories and poems and memoirs written by the students and selling it on Amazon! Apparently they do this every year. My story shall be in there, as well as nineteen others. I'm really rather proud of how it turned out (and I did a bunch of concept art for my main character, of course). Anyway, I'll have to decide whether it's "Internet-safe" to direct you guys to purchase it when it's out, if you want. Maaaybe. You'd know what school I go to, though, and given that (most of) you already know my first name, you could get my first and last and hypothetically learn all sorts of personal information about me and… heh, maybe not the best idea. Perhaps I'll just post the story up here for you guys to read for free, or something. :-,

Good to see you all seem to be doing well! :3

Hey guys… music ethics: how do they work?
I never really questioned it until recently (derp), but I’m starting to think that downloading every song I want from Youtube is seriously Wrong. I deleted them, and I’m going to talk to my dad about it as well, but what are your thoughts? Mostly, I’m confused about the gray areas – like if my sister has a CD, is it “bad” to borrow it and download a song that I like from it? That seems to be a pretty reasonable action to me, but I don’t know… or if there’s a version of a song for sale on the Internet, but I like a different version that’s only posted on Youtube (with just a few differences) better, is it “bad” to download that one for free instead? Or if I like one song, on an album of about 60 tracks, but all that’s available to buy is the whole thing for a rather large amount of money? It’s not worth it to spend $15 on a single song that I actually wish to buy, so do I suck it up and just not get it at all? Or what if a song is only available for purchase on a shady site that I’m worried will give my computer a virus or something? Then am I “allowed” to get it for free?
I think this will be an interesting discussion, and you all probably know more about it than I do. :3 I’d like to figure out both what the socially acceptable “norm” is, and what is actually right/wrong to do by my own ethical standards.

    • clemonade 7:34 pm on July 31, 2015 Permalink | Reply

Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with downloading music for free, especially not if it’s from a major artist from a major label, because most of the dollar you spend on a given track goes to the people behind the label, who really don’t need that money anyway. With independant artists, I still often download their music for free, but if I really like an artist and listen to them often, I’ll donate money to them- if they aren’t the sort of artist who has a donation page, they really don’t need your money. I mean, we live in a digital world. And you could listen to that music for free in other ways, and if you have adblock, artists wouldn’t be making money off of you listening to it online on spotify or youtube- but you don’t consider that wrong, do you?

    • deartomysoul 8:41 am on August 4, 2015 Permalink | Reply

idk, i mean people are going to continue downloading music for free even if it’s not “right” because we as humans just love music so much.

idk mate i do that all the time because im not allowed to spend any money on music because my parents disapprove of listening to music too much (?????) and youtube-mp3 is my saviour and literally the only way i have music literally

That is like the silliest thing to disapprove of IMO. Unless you’ve got earbuds in all the time and you’re not paying attention to things going on around you; then I could maybe understand. But music is so important and awesome it’s like- *gesticulates frantically*
Man, I feel lucky my parents are both musicians all of a sudden. .-. I’d say your use is definitely justifiable then.

Hey guys! Time to jump on the Massive Update bandwagon here.
    This has been my summer:
~I took a trip up to Oregon and Washington with my dad to look at colleges and visit Crater Lake and stuff. Although I’ve got about 11 colleges on the table, I absolutely love Western Washington University and it’s my first choice. :3
~Once we got home, I had one week free and then left with my mom and my sister to drive up into the mountains for a music camp. I now officially call myself a Percussionist. And, of course, I love it there because TREES! I also made a few friends there, although the one I got along with the very best left the second day. :/ But anyways, I had fun, and then we stayed at a friend’s house and visited more colleges. I made friends with Mom’s friend’s daughter, also, who is a supercool nerd. (She also made me start reading Homestuck… now I’m almost to Act 6 and why am I even doing this it’s such a waste of time blargh.)
~Now I’m home from both those things, and I have done the following:
*read Homestuck, as I mentioned (with commentary from two of my friends – one gives really cryptic hints and foreshadows, and the other one does the same thing in pun form, although he’s actually actively helpful in explaining things once in a while)
*CLEANED MY ENTIRE ROOM. I finished last night and I’m so proud because the last time I did that I was like ten or something ridiculously young. And now it’s perfect. Well, it will be once I get stuff back up on my walls.
*procrastinated on beginning driving lessons/community service/summer assignments (I’ll start all those things this week prob’ly)
*Online roleplay! ๐Ÿ˜€ At the moment, I’m busy on the RPG Collective and the Omniverse. Anyone want to join me? ^-^
*started learning how to read people’s auras. Yeah, I know it sounds weird. It kind of is. I’m being mentored by one of the aforementioned friends, who was born with the ability to do so (I never actually knew that about him until a couple weeks ago). But I *think* it’s working, in a fuzzy vague slippery half-imaginary way. I’m still just beginning. ^^”
*enjoyed the lovely thunderstorm this morning which is incredibly uncommon where I live, but awesome.
*updated on the Terces society! :3

Oh yes, I’m positively ANCIENT. :p (I don’t remember exactly how old you are, if I ever knew, but I would hazard a guess that I’m no more than three years older, actually. I’m younger than SD.)

Unfortunately, my friend made me promise that I wouldn’t teach anyone else (for good reasons, I suppose – it’s not a matter to be taken lightly, from what I know about it. And besides, I hardly know enough to teach anyone myself so far). He said I could direct others to him, if you want, but I have to warn you, he can seem a liiiiittle creepy sometimes, even to me. And his methods of communication would probably be even more disconcerting to you, since you’ve never met him. >_> I don’t know, you might get along fine, who knows?

I think the total range in ages on Terces is only about 3 years. I mean, Jenny and I are both 15 w/ fall birthdays (so 16 soon), and Angst and the other slightly younger members are like 14.
