Always Remember So That We May Never Forget

“Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, Members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives:

Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”

These were the words spoken by former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the event that brought the US into play during WWII. It occurred 72 years ago.
Many innocent people died that day.
And although this is cheesy, let’s take a moment to acknowledge all the sacrifices our armed men and women make to keep the freedom of our nation.
A moment of silence for those who never came back.
