Grammar Peeve Time!

So, say there’s this elf named Avalon, right?

Avalon helps out at an animal shelter.
Avalon likes deer.
Avalon also likes the color blue.

You would not believe how many places you’d see that written like this:

Avalon helps out at an animal shelter, likes deer, and the color blue.

or

Avalon helps out at an animal shelter, likes deer and the color blue.

I mean, come ON!

It’s obviously supposed to be this:

Avalon helps out at an animal shelter AND likes deer and the color blue.

People are just so freaked out about using two “and”s in a sentence. >_> I see this on labels for manufactured products, in books, everywhere!

Your thoughts?
