    Three Things
One- I gave a name suggestion for a baby girl to my aunt. Hazel Grace. She loved it! TFiOS!
Two- I felt rather like a Dalek today because I was sprinkling ant-killing powder on the hills that have taken over my backyard.
Three- While I was doing that, I saw a bear cub walking down the road… less that 50 feet from where I was.
I’m reading the last book in the Chronicles of Narnia. I think CS Lewis was referring to the TARDIS: “Yes,” said the Lord Digory. “Its inside is bigger than its outside.”

Oh my word, that’s pretty awesome…OH MY GODS DID YOU JUST REFERENCE A NARNIA BOOK!?!? GEE WHIZ, YOU ARE AWESOME. *HUGS* Wait, I thought that was in The Magician’s Nephew…Oh wait, he’s not a lord. Never mind. I really need to finish that series. It’s pretty awesome so far. Not as awesome as the Percy Jackson series, but still, pretty freakin’ awesome.

That’s fine! :) I was just wondering because you said that you were no longer an elementary student. How have you been?

    Starting watching vlogbrother videos.
Immediately fell in love with them.
Called my friend a giant squid of anger.
Got yelled at by my orchestra teacher.
Had to say 5 nice things to her.
    Got away only with three.
    Brilliant.

YAY FOR VLOGBROTHERS! Sorry about your orchestra teacher. What did you say to her?

      • Dragon Agent 4:30 pm on May 29, 2013 Permalink | Reply

I had to say 5 nice things to my friend. I would’ve called her a nerd, (which she takes as a complement of the highest regard) but that would’ve gotten me into MORE trouble, which is not what I needed at that time!

Nice. My orchestra teacher isn’t so bad anymore…Probably because he gave me a copy of The Lord of the Rings to play. XD

YAY! I now own Write This Book! Unfortunately, I share the same dilemma as Paperclip. Have to finish the Tripods series and Catherine, Called Birdy, first. It’ll have to wait, but I bet that will just make it better!

Whovians! If you haven’t already watched it, the Sarah Jane Smith Adventures are AWESOME! I’ve watched the first few episodes, and they were boschness.
I also watched the first 5 minutes of Torchwood. In my opinion, it sucked.

    • Lily 5:03 am on May 12, 2013 Permalink | Reply

My dear I watched them all a loooong time ago :) They stopped a year or 2 ago cos the actress who played sarah jane died :(

      • Dragon Agent 4:53 am on May 13, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Well of course you watched them! I don’t think that they played them stateside, so I’m using the internet. And I heard about Elisabeth Sladen, what was she, like 65? So sad.

I haven’t cried over a book since Dumbledore died.
That changes with The Fault in Our Stars. I haven’t finished yet, but I just got past the part when Augustus dies. Oh. My. Bosch.

That got ruined eh..? Jk jk :)

    • violinplayer10101 3:14 pm on May 6, 2013 Permalink | Reply

To be honest, I didn’t cry over Dumbledore, nor Augustus. I didn’t cry over Dumbledore, probably because it was in the fifth book and by the time I got to that scene, I was probably yawning my head off. Or because I wasn’t great at processing things in my head because I think I read that book somewhere in third grade. I didn’t cry over Augustus (OKAY, FINE, MAYBE A FEW SNIFFLES BUT I COULDN’T HELP IT, ALRIGHT!) because I just didn’t…Like Augustus that much to care for him…oh gods i sound like a horrible person right now. I’m sorry. Anyway: I guess I just didn’t feel enough emotion toward Hazel and Augustus…I don’t know why..But something that’s really been bothering me is the fact that everyone (or most everyone, atleast) thinks that Augustus is attractive. I FEEL A RANT COMING ON…John Green doesn’t properly DESCRIBE Augustus. He just writes that he’s attractive, and hot. In Hazel’s point of view. And that’s it. All throughout the book I was picturing him as a guy who had wavy dark brown hair and acted like one of those popular kids/bormals. But not attractive. Nope. Not at all. I pictured Hazel as this girl who wasn’t the slightest bit attractive (okay, I’m overexaggerating) and had short, light brown hair (you know, like, cut around her head short? A bit shorter than my hair?) and deep, green eyes and hazel flecks. (i love eyes that have different colors. just saying in case any of you wanted to know.) But I didn’t really picture them that way…I don’t know, when I read, my mind functions a bit differently…It’s hard to describe how I visualize things.

I really don’t want to ridicule TFiOS since it’s one of my favorite John Green books…But seriously, the way John Green just describes him as “attractive” really bothered me. Before I read TFiOS, Nina was ranting about how good it is, and I thought, “Okay, well, this Augustus-guy seems like a good-looking person since everyone seems to like him and sob over him when he dies.” LET’S SEE, DID I SOB? NO. THE ONLY TIME I PROPERLY SOBBED OVER A BOOK WAS SAVVY, AND I WAS LIKE, IN FOURTH GRADE. Don’t judge, alright? I was a little fourth grader reading an emotional book, alright? XD
And I also said “I don’t care if he dies, unless he’s good-looking.” And I really regret saying that, Nina, because he wasn’t and I– Okay, now I’m probably just rambling nonsense. It always happens.

But overall, TFiOS was a good book. I just thought the descriptions could be…better. :P My rant in one sentence. *facepalm*

I cried over the ending. I hate it when books (or movies, like Dr. Horrible) end too fast. Gah. Anyway, you don’t cry over Augustus because he’s attractive or you have a crush on him. You cry because, over the course of the book, he becomes your friend, and because through Hazel’s viewpoint you can see just how much of what could have been never happened. And then you realize that this is fiction and you cry all over again.

It didn’t happen to me, though…Only a bit of watery eyes because I knew that you were “supposed” to cry. I don’t have a soul, do I. XD

        Sixth book. Not fifth.

    • Agent SD 8:30 pm on May 7, 2013 Permalink | Reply

I cried a lot during that book. But I was actually crying more with the whole “I’m in love with you quote.” It just. Too many feels.

    • Agent SD 4:38 pm on May 12, 2013 Permalink | Reply

When I think of crying over books I think of Dobby. And When You Reach Me. And Why We Broke Up.

And the fourth and fifth Secret Series books, actually. I’m way too emotionally invested in those books.

FYI, yesterday (April 23), was William Shakespeare’s 449th birthday!
Am I the only one who celebrated?!?!?

Depends on how you define “celebrate.” ;)

Did anyone do the Silence Tally Mark thing?

      That’s pretty cool. :D :D :D I quite like William Shakespeare.

Do you mean the day of silence, SD? If so, yes. But I failed when it came to orchestra. XD

First, OMB SD!!!! Very happy belated birthday.
I saw a “Vote Saxon” licence plate the other day. It said “VOTESXN”, so I made a guess at what it meant.
What I’m doing for Earth Day? I wrote 5:02 in big red letters on the inside of my thumb. If don’t watch Doctor Who, you probably don’t get this. Just hoping I actually remember…
