No. If you move somewhere where the people all sound different from you…. I briefly experienced this when I moved to XX because on the East Coast, where I grew up, we all actually speak English the right way. Except for Snooki. But she’s an exception. Here in XX, people pronounce “roof” as “rough” quite often, and “bagel” as “bag (like handbag) Ell” But I eventually got over it and, besides, now most of my friends speak English fine and don’t have Midwestern accents.
